This competition was formerly named Holiday Invitational. The new 4th annual Cheer Elite Invitational will be held in Prestonsburg, KY on Sunday, Feb 21, 2010. For 2010, this event is a charity event for the Central KY Blood Center and The Project Linus Children's Charity. A note from the CEO at Central KY Blood Center, “Statistics show that about every three seconds, someone, somewhere in Kentucky needs blood. It could be a car accident victim, a child fighting cancer or an organ donor recipient. There is a very good chance that you or I will need a blood transfusion in our lifetime. Therefore, an adequate supply of blood must be built to meet any medical or health crisis across our 59-county central and eastern Kentucky service area. Think about it. Will enough of this precious, life-giving fluid be on a hospital's blood bank shelf the day you, a family member, friend, neighbor or co-worker needs it? It is up to all of us to do our part. If you've never been a blood donor, please consider doing it. It's safe and easy and no big deal. If you do donate, please add one or two more donations this year. Help our fellow Kentuckians. After all, it's about life”.

This will be a very exciting competition with cheerleading squads and dance teams from all over the state participating. All teams participating in this competition receive a trophy, regardless of score and number of teams in their division. Other awards that will be given are Grand Champion, Best Choreography, Spirit Award and Coach of the Year Award. We look forward to your participation, and helping us increase the donations for the Central Kentucky Blood Center and The Project Linus Children's Charity!!!
